I often pass by this rustic garden gate on walks around my neighbourhood, and it always arouses my curiosity. The house beyond is completely hidden by shrubs and trees. I have no idea what it looks like or who lives there. However, I realize that if I were to open the unlocked gate and climb the steps in order to satisfy my inquisitiveness, not only would I be trespassing, but also I would destroy the sense of mystery that drew me to take this photograph in the first place. Some things are best left undone.
